Macaulay final places up for grabs

The Artemis Macaulay Cup north semi-final brings together Lovat and Newtonmore at Braeview Park, writes Alasdair Bruce.

Paul Macarthur and Drew Macdonald are on the Newtonmore injury list, while Glen Mackintosh is recovering from a calf injury. Lovat knocked Newtonmore out of this competition last season.

The south last-four tie sees Oban Camanachd and Kyles Athletic clash at Mossfield. Daniel Cameron and Andrew Maccuish are back for Oban Camanachd. Grant Irvine is Kyles’ main concern, with Innes Macdonald ruled out.

In the Premiership, Kinlochshiel can go clear at the top if they take something from their meeting with Kilmallie at The Canal Parks. ‘Shiel’s Colin Macdiarmid is banned and Oliver Macrae and Gordy Macdonald are injured.

Glasgow Mid Argyll have Ryan Harrison back for their trip to The Dell to play Kingussie, while Lochaber and Glenurquhart will both feel they can take something out of their meeting at Spean Bridge.
