Designer Isabelle Waring
What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?
A Jacquemus puff-sleeve white cotton top. It was quite pricey, but I will wear it with jeans and midi skirts for years to come.
What are you addicted to buying?
I prefer to buy fewer, goodquality pieces so I don’t buy that many things, but I do love good-quality cotton basics; like T-shirts and vests.
Best ever bargain?
A lilac tulle midi dress from the Seventies. I bought it from an old lady’s market stall in Sydney and it’s a complete showstopper (and only cost me $45).
Who has great style?
Olivia Palermo and Jeanne Damas: I love both French and Anglo-american styling.

& Other Stories for both trends and classics.
Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?
So many in my teenage years. I wore a full-body leotard to my 18th birthday, which was certainly a poor choice.
What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?
My navy cashmere polo neck jumper. It’s perfect under dresses and with jeans, and always looks chic. n
