Two
One pub, two actors, and – it seems – dozens of characters: it’s hard to imagine a play better suited to the company that was once Mull Little Theatre than Jim Cartwright’s Two, first seen in Bolton in 1989. Now, Mull Theatre’s director Alasdair Mccrone takes on the role of the landlord and all the male characters in this powerful vision of an evening in a traditional British pub, while Fletcher Mathers plays all the female roles, in a show that’s set to provide some no-holds-barred summer entertainment for Mull folk and visitors, over the next few weeks. Mull Theatre, Druimfin, until 19 August (various dates); Iona Village Hall, 28 July, and Bunnessan Hall, 29 July, www.comar.co.uk
