Teenager killed in car crash named by police

An 18-year-old man who died following a serious car crash in Perth and Kinross has been named by police.

Billy Haggart died in hospital after the incident on the A923 Dundee to Coupar Angus road near Tullybaccart.

Four other people in the car sustained minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident which happened at about 2am on Saturday.

Anyonewithinformation on the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101. A report has been submitted to the procuratorfiscal.
