- By ANGUS HOWARTH

Police are growing “increasingly concerned” for a man not seen since a night out with friends in Edinburgh.

Adam Smith, 37, travelled from Essex for a weekend with friends in the Scottish capital.

He was last seen at The Three Sisters pub in the Cowgate area at about 12:45am on Saturday.

Officers have appealed for information.

Mr Smith is described as white, about 6ft 3ins tall and with short blonde hair that is normally worn slicked back.

When last seen, he was wearing a long-sleeved burgundy shirt and light blue jeans.

Sergeant Mark Barry, of Howdenhall police station, said: “This behaviour is out of character for Adam and we’re growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.”
