Woman in hospital after house fire

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being rescued from a house fire in West Dunbartonshire.

Police and other emergency services were called to a property in Redburn, Bonhill, Alexandria, at about 12.30am yesterday.

A 44-year-old woman was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, Renfrewshire, for treatment and an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Police said there had been a number of fire-raising incidents in the area but they are not thought to be linked to the blaze at the house.
