Evening therapy: Relaxing by the pool Tokyo-style

Ashiyu, or foot spas, are hot springs placed under a canopy where people relax and soak their legs. Japan is abundant with natural springs, or onsen, being one of the most volcanically-active countries in the world.
There are more than 3,000 across the country, according to the Nippon Onsen Research Association.
There are a diverse range of hot-spring baths in Tokyo, from simple pools and traditional public baths to massive, theme park-style complexes.
