Broom Road, Glasgow. four years in a wide variety of illnesses and circumstances. JAMES WATSON Randolph Crescent, Dunbar, East Lothian Brian Monteith dislikes Nationalism, but the threat to Scotland surely must come from the rise in English Nationalism which he ignores (Perspective, 24 July). These English Nationalists cannot cope with an equal partnership in Europe. They say they want their country back, insist that we do not desire the same, but accept them in a dominant partnership over us. At the recent election the issue of keeping the Scots and Welsh out of Westminster was also raised, to keep it just for English MPS, so even if we vote to stay in the UK, in the long term we will be kicked out anyway.
