Outrageous

-

To label MSP John Mason’s remarks with regard to the British Transport Police ‘’distasteful’’ (your report, 26 July) is being far too kind. In the same way as, I believe, do the majority of Scottish Nationalists, Mr Mason automatically detests and derides anything encompassing the word ‘’British’’. Calling their efforts at uniting the forces in the UK for the benefit of all ‘’empire building’’ is outrageous.

The fact that the same division had many officers risking their lives on the front line during the London and Manchester terror attacks merely reinforces the point about joint efforts being best for all.
