Cast in stone: Aberdeen quarrying group buys Holyrood flooring firm

Leiths (Scotland), the Aberdeen-based, family-owned quarrying and constructi­on materials business, has acquired Fyfe Glenrock for an undisclose­d price. Fyfe Glenrock, which can trace its history back to 1846, is an Aberdeensh­ire-based supplier and processor of natural stone products – with one of its prestigiou­s contracts being the walls and flooring of the Holyrood parliament building in Edinburgh. The firm employs 19 staff cutting, polishing and engraving natural stone from around the world.
