Scots secure win double

-

Scotland’s women completed a double over France with a 4-0 win in the second Test but coach Gordon Shepherd will feel they should have marked their superiority with more goals, writes Craig Madden.

The opening goal in only ten minutes was set up by Heather Howie and finished by Millie Brown.

The Scots doubled their tally two minutes later when Nikki Lloyd converted a penalty.

The third goal came from Scotland’s second penalty corner, Bex Condie firing in a low shot, and the Scots made it 4-0 early in the second half after a well-worked penalty corner routine in which Condie sent a weighted pass to Sarah Robertson and the Edinburgh University striker deflected the ball into the net.
