Rush hour misery for rail passengers

Rail communters were hit by delays yesterday morning after a signalling fault affected the busy Glasgow to Edinburgh line.

The points failure at Cadder near Bishopbriggs was reported at 8:39am.

Scotrail announced it would only be running the service half hourly leaving Glasgow on the hour and half hour and from Edinburgh at quarter past and quarter to the hour. Regular services resumed at 11:20am
