Credit to choir
As the daughter of a soldier who served in the First World War from 1916 to 1919, in the Cameron Highlanders and then in the Royal Engineers, I watched, with my husband, the BBC coverage of the commemoration of the above on Sunday and Monday, under the guidance of Kirsty Young.
As the grandparents of a member of the National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCOS) we wish to acknowledge their dedication and that of their teachers in achieving the highest possible standard in their contribution to this occasion.
My father returned from the war and taught for 40 years. He sang in choirs for the rest of his life and would have been proud, as were we, of the way in which NYCOS represented our country at this commemoration.
