Lucescu appointed Turkey head coach

Former Galatasaray and Besiktas manager Mircea Lucescu is the new head coach of Turkey.

The 72-year-old Romanian – sacked by Russian Premier League side Zenit St Petersburg in May – will return to the country where he coached two Istanbul clubs between 2000 and 2004.
