Lorry carrying 30 cows falls on its side into ditch
A cattle transporter carrying livestock tipped over into a ditch on a busy country road yesterday.
The lorry came off the road and landed on its side while heading towards Westhill in Aberdeenshire on the A944.
There were believed to be 30 cows on board and a vet was called out to assist in the rescue of the animals.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A lorry has landed in a ditch halfway between Dunecht and Aberdeen.
“The lorry was on its side against a wall and had livestock within.”
