DFS swoops for rival Sofology

Furniture retailer DFS has bought specialist sofa retailer Sofology for an initial £25 million “to broaden the group’s appeal to customers”.

DFS expects initial synergies of £4m from the acquisition, which follows the purchases of Dwell and Sofa Workshop. The company said Sofology’s management team would continue to lead the business.
