Three connects with sales surge

Mobile operator Three has cheered rising revenues despite earnings slipping back in response to customer and investment costs.

The telecoms firm, which is owned by Chinese conglomera­te CK Hutchison, said halfyear earnings dropped 2 per cent to £341 million, down from £348m in 2016. Total revenues rose 10 per cent to £1.2 billion over the period.
