Search for woman missing for eight days scaled back
The search to find a woman who left for a beach late at night is being scaled back more than a week on.
Nusrat Jahan, or Dow, was reported missing from her home in the Seaton area of Aberdeen at about 10.30pm on July 27.
The 34-year-old told a friend at around 9.30pm that she was heading in the direction of the beach.
A major land, sea and air search was launched when she did not return.
Police said they have returned to key search areas for one final time as efforts begin to be scaled back.
Chief Inspector Kevin Wallace said: “Unfortunately as more time passes it makes it extremely difficult to know where to focus our attention.”
