Complaints against anticorruption unit officers
Police Scotland has confirmed that complaints have been made against six serving or former anticorruption officers.
Last year the force rebranded its controversial Counter Corruption Unit (CCU) as the Anti-corruption Unit (ACU) after a review by HM Inspectorate of Constabulary, which made a total of 39 recommendations.
In a letter to Holyrood’s justice sub-committee on policing, Chief Constable Phil Gormley said: “From July 2016 to the present, six separate complaints have been made against officers within the ACU/CCU.”
Mr Gormley said the complaints were being investigated.
