Nursing home worker sacked for abuse

A nursing home’s ‘dementia champion’ has been dismissed after abusing a vulnerable man with the degenerative condition.

Marie Mclaughlin verbally abused the elderly resident while working at Whitecraigs Nursing Home in the Thornliebank area of Glasgow.

Mclaughlin, who was a domestic at the home in Glasgow, stopped working at the nursing home following the incidents in June last year.
