Donald Trump said that the US nuclear arsenal was “far stronger and more powerful” than ever before. The US president expressed hope that his country would never have to use its nuclear options, but it would remain “the most powerful nation in the world”. @realdonaldtrump declared: “My first order as President was to renovate and modernize our nuclear arsenal. It is now far stronger and more powerful than ever before.” @Zekejmiller responded: “What?!?!!?! The lead time on new weapons systems is measured in years. And for nuclear ones, sometimes decades.” @Iandunt opined: “Be under no illusion that the brink is where we stand. And Trump put us there.” @Charlesmblow tweeted: “Say what you want about Obama, but I never once worried about a damned nuclear war.” @Scottpresler countered: “I’m thankful that Hillary Clinton & her husband, who paved the way for a nuclear North Korea, aren’t in the White House.”

#DISNEY

Disney ended its distribution deal with Netflix with the intention of launching an independent streaming service in 2019 and an ESPN streaming service even earlier. @Commanderclark8 reflected: “With the amount of content Disney has this was destined to happen.” @joshsternberg lamented: “This is not good for the millions of parents who use Moana, Zootopia or Finding Dory as negotiation tactics with their toddlers.” @Malikg asked: “What does this mean about Marvel movis and TV shows?!!!” @Terrence_cfp wrote: “Netflix shares down nearly 6% from Disney streaming service announcement for 2019.”

#TITANOSAUR

The world’s biggest dinosaur has been officially named. Paleontologists at the American Museum of Natural History lay down beside Patagotitan mayorum’s – nicknamed Titanosaur – bones to show off how huge it was. @upulie tweeted: “Averaging 37m in length, Patagotitan is the longest animal to have ever lived; eclipsing the Blue Whale.” @themadstone added: “The largest dinosaur ever found, now named Patagotitan, weighed 70 tons. Try to imagine that.”
