Dumbarton Hopes for Handling

-

After yet another disappointing Betfred Cup campaign, hopes were low heading into the start of the league season against Morton. They have signed well in the summer, including our top scorer from last season Robert Thomson. Against our new-look team, with nine players making league debuts for the Sons, I wasn’t expecting much, but we battled well enough for a draw.

Creating chances seemed a bit of an issue but, with Danny Handling to come into the team, hopefully he will fill that void. If we can get players like him, Craig Barr and Tom Walsh on top of their game we’ll have another good crack at survival. We’ve proved everyone wrong for the past five years. Let’s do it again.
