Man and woman die as car crashes through parapet

Two people have died and another is being treated in hospital after a car crash in Aberdeenshire.

Police said a 31-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were killed when the vehicle went through the parapet of a bridge and felldownasteepslopeearly yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A937 Montrose to Laurencekirk road near Marykirk Bridge .

A second man is being treated in hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are investigating and appealed for witnesses.
