Man, 16, treated for facial injuries following assault

A 16-year-old man was treated in hospital after sustaining facial injuries during a serious assault in Inverness.

Police are appealing for information after the incident in the city’s Falcon Square area, which happened during the early hours of yesterday.

They said the victim was approached by an unknown man before the assault took place. Officers are keen to speak to this man, who was riding a bicycle and was wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit trousers.

The victim was treated at Raigmore Hospital.
