Council misses target on ‘no ball games’ signs

-

Bungling council chiefs have overshot a deadline to remove “no ball games” signs by more than a year.

Aberdeen City Council admitted on Monday there were “considerably more” of the signs than first thought after promising to take them down by 3 August, 2016.

Football legend Denis Law kickstarted the scheme in 2015 when he returned to his home city to be one of the first people to remove the signs.

The council have since asked people to get in touch to identify any that still remain in place.
