Bidding for growth: Auctioneer details plans to develop site in Bo’ness

Auctioneer John Pye Auctions is celebrating 18 months since it opened its first base outside England and one of its largest — a five-acre site at Bo’ness that has experienced “record” sales growth. In that time the facility has seen more than 100 online auctions take place while staff have increased to 26 from seven and it is currently recruiting for a further three positions. Other plans include a refurbishment “in the near future” and adding six auction rooms in the next two years. The firm has 20 trading sites and 250 staff across the UK.
