Hamilton Accies Inspiring Imrie

Saturday’s win against Dundee was tremendous fun. We defended badly but the Dundee forwards were unable to beat the brilliant Gary Woods. I raved about Steven Boyd last week and was delighted when he scored with a lovely lob on Saturday. It was a fine way to grab his first Premiership goal and surely many more will follow.

Dougie Imrie started for us for the 200th time and the captain led by example – he never gives up. Opposition fans frequently try to noise him up but he loves all that. He has been a real example to our younger players over the last few years and is now involved on the coaching side. I hope he has another great season in him and does his usual role on Saturday at Easter Road – getting in the faces of the opposition and not letting up.
