Motherwell Don’t blame the ref

Motherwell fans and players had an obvious villain to blame for Saturday’s 4-1 thumping at St Johnstone – but Craig Thomson should not be the main cause of our concern.

Thomson was appalling admittedly, with decisions ranging from probably wrong to horrific, but that is out of our control. He may or may not get a slap on the wrist before continuing on his merry way.

We, on the other hand, are without a point from two games and now enter the Ross County game on Saturday with pressure mounting.

It is important not to panic yet. We could easily have taken something from both Rangers and St Johnstone.but our failure to take those opportunities is a cause for concern.
