Robber threatens shopworker

A shop worker was threatened by a man who made off with a three-figure sum of cash in the Edinburgh area.

The robbery happened at about 12:45pm on Tuesday at the Niddrie Mill Convenience Store in Niddrie Mill Drive.

A 19-year-old woman was working in the shop when the man threatened her and demanded money.

Police say he escaped with a three-figure sum.

The suspect is described as white and wearing a dark hooded jacket, black scarf and sunglasses.
