Man leaves sister’s legs in Rome bins

A man has confessed to killing his sister, whose hacked-off legs and other body parts were found in rubbish bins in Rome.

Maurizio Diotallevi, 62, was questioned at police headquarte­rs by an investigat­ing magistrate over the death of his sister Nicoletta, police said.

A spokesman added: “In front of the magistrate, Diotallevi admitted being theonewhoc­ommittedth­e murder and who attempted to hide the body.”

The victim was identified as Nicoletta Diotallevi, 59, who lived with her brother in an apartment in the Flaminio neighbourh­ood. Police later found her brother in the apartment.
