We had a 92nd-minute winner from Lewis Morgan to thank for sparing Saints’ blushes as they overcame East Kilbride of the Lowland League in the Irn-bru Cup. Kilby’s goalkeeper, 21-year -old Jacob Kean, was in inspired form as he faced 35 attempts from the hosts.

Dominic Mclaren had headed Billy Stark’s men in front to the shock of the 1,357 inside the Paisley 2021 Stadium with ten minutes remaining. But Saints scored two goals in the last six minutes to recover and book their place in the second round. Ross Stewart finally beat Kean to lob home the equaliser with seven minutes left. Into injury time and Morgan squeezed the ball in at the near post to snatch victory for the Paisley side and a place in today’s draw.
