Dundee United Stronger squad this year

Tough as it was to lose the derby and the bragging rights, the defeat must be looked at within the bigger picture of winning the league and getting the club back on a sound financial footing. There is no doubt the manager has been backed by the board and arguably has a stronger squad than last season.

There is also some really exciting talent with Stanton and Mcmullan the standouts so far. It’s just a pity that talent and skill in this league is rewarded with being fouled repeatedly by the cloggers who inhabit the lower tiers of Scottish football. While raising your hands can never be defended, perhaps we need our match officials to do their jobs and protect the entertainers the fans pay good money to see.
