Youth worker dies caught in rip tide
Tributes have been paid to a “much-loved” and popular youth worker who died after being caught in a rip tide at a tourist hot-spot.
Oneil “Kenny” Din, named locally, was among a group which had gone to Newquay, in Cornwall, when the accident happened on Tuesday .
The 27-year-old was looked up to as a “big brother” by those he gave his time to, according to the chairman of a Filipino community charity. He was also a keen cyclist and sang at his local church in Coventry.
