Cruel question

There has been more “debate” recently about how humane Halal meat is : it is now banned in Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.

Religious spokespeople who defend this method of slaughter are opposed by the Farm Animal Welfare Council, the RSPCA and the British Veterinary Association.

Which side would you believe? The freedom to religious practice is paramount but it cannot alone be allowed exemption from basic laws on animal welfare.
