‘London Whale’ case dropped

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has dropped its civil lawsuit accusing two former Jpmorgan Chase & Co traders of trying to hide some of the bank’s $6.2bn of losses tied to the 2012 “London Whale” scandal.

The SEC dismissed charges against Javier Martin-artajo and Julien Grout following a similar move by the US department of justice.
