Boy, 13, charged over suspicious fire

A second teenage boy has been arrested and charged in connection with a large suspicious fire at a bowling club in Fife.

Around 40 firefighters were called to the blaze at Denbeath Bowling Club, Buckhaven, on Wednesday.

The building, which included Denbeath Miners Welfare Institute, was closed in 2013 due to rising maintenance costs. Police Scotland said a 13-year-old boy has now been charged over the incident, which caused “significant damage”.
