#PERSHING

US President Donald Trump responded to the terrorist attack in Barcelona by urging Americans to study the career of John J Pershing, a legendary General who fought in the Us-philippines war. Trump was referring to a long-discredited claim that Pershing smeared his bullets with pig’s blood to further insult Islamic insurgents.

@Billkristol wrote: “Trump should visit Section 34 of Arlington National Cemetery to personally apologize before the gravestone of Gen. Pershing.”

@Politifact, a factchecking site, added: “There’s no truth to @realdonaldtrump’s claim about Gen. Pershing ending terrorism for 35 years. We rate the claim: Pants on Fire”

@USMC-SS claimed: “Trump told a story about Gen Pershing dipping 50 bullets in pigs blood to kill terrorists. It is a LIE! A bloody bullet jams a gun, stupid!”

@Purple_worship wrote: “#Michaelbarrymore has been waiting for justice since 2007? What? A whole decade for a court case to be resolved?”

@Mexican_sivvy added: “Michael Barrymore deserves more than 2.4 million. He has lost his home and basically his career. Hope he rebuilds it.”
