Thousands attended the Pride Glasgow event, Scotland’s largest LGBTI festival, with Nicola Sturgeon becoming the first serving first minister to speak at a pride event @andiabz said: ‘Fabulous to see @prideglasgow are having a quiet hour for people with autism! #Prideglasgow.’ @Chsuptmcinulty posted: ‘Community engagement, supporting officers & staff, standing up for equality and for what is right, being proud, 140 characters not enough!’ @vivieannecarr poked fun at Glasgow’s weather: ‘#Prideglasgow might have been cold, wet poncho weather but what a great day!’ @Calfdocherty noted: ‘Was very happy to see #Prideglasgow goers wondering about freely in town. Brings so much joy to our society.’
