Another vote

-

If Les Reid (letters, 19 August) was sold goods in a shop by a slick salesman who makes all sorts of promises about this fantastic machine, and took it home only find out it does not do any of what was promised, I assume he would never take it back and ask for his money back.

Michael Gove, for example, can say he cringed over some of the promises that were made. We seem to be landed with Brexit even though we were lied to.

However, some of us who believe we have been sold dodgy goods by the slick operators like Nigel Farage, Gove and Boris Johnson now find it looks less than promising as we approach Brexit.

Democracy should mean that we have the right to ask ‘for our money back’ – another vote for our views on the Brexit terms.
