Dundee Nou Campy?

- Gary Cocker

Played three; lost three; next three opponents – Hibs, Rangers and St Johnstone. It’s a bit of an unholy trinity for Dundee, but despite poor results, I’m still upbeat. We’re creating chances, and the fabled law of averages dictates that we’ll bounce back soon.

More on my mind this week has been the announcement of a proposed new stadium next to Camperdown Park to the northwest of the city. I’m cautiously optimistic; Dens may be our spiritual home, but it costs around £500,000 a year just to maintain its current condition, and is fast approaching not being fit for purpose. As long as the fans are listened to, a purpose-built stadium (called the Nou Campy, perhaps?) with numerous facilities to generate more money for the club has to be the way forward.
