Hibernian Back to earth

Traditionally, Hibs are very good at bringing their supporters back down to earth, and Saturday’s match was a great example. Hibs emerged for the second period looking as if their tea had been laced with sleeping tablets. hamilton took full advantage and were worthy of the victory.

Defeat is never good, but perhaps some supporters’ expectations needed to be tempered. The primary objective this season is to avoid relegation and, once achieved, we can look at bigger goals. However, we are playing sides who have spent many years in the top flight, and Hibernian didn’t always convince on their way to the Championship title last season. Nevertheless, I am confident we will see a positive reaction at Dens Park on Sunday.
