Vitamin pills linked to male lung cancer
Male smokers who pop vitamin B pills are up to four times more likely to develop lung cancer, warns new research.
A study of more than 77,000 people by experts at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Centre found a link between the nutrient and the disease – but only in men.
The risk of a lung tumour doubled for those taking high doses over ten years, and tripled or quadrupled if they also smoked.
Vitamin B supplements are among the most popular on the market.
