Costain dividend given a boost

Costain has jacked up its dividend after a strong performance from the group’s infrastructure division helped boost revenues and profits.

The engineering firm said pre-tax profits climbed by 30 per cent to £15.7 million for the half year, with the natural resources division also seeing “significant improvement”. Revenues lifted 11 per cent.
