Corbyn on tour: ‘SNP has failed to ease austerity
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has claimed the SNP failed to use its powers to mitigate austerity and said his party would tackle “thirdworld” levels of poverty in parts of Scotland.
Mr Corbyn said if Labour gained power it would ensure Scotland is funded “the way it should be” during a visit to Glasgow.
He was joined by Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale as he toured a former school in the city’s east end which is being redeveloped as offices and community space.
The visit marked the second day of his campaign tour of Scotland focusing on marginal constituencies.
