Motorcyclist dies in crash with car

A motorcyclist has died in a crash with a car in Midlothian.

The 54-year-old man died at the scene of the incident on the A6093 near Pathhead at about 3:20pm on Wednesday.

Police said he was riding a Honda Hornet bike towards Haddington when he was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Passat. The road was closed for six hours.

Sergeant Gary Taylor said: “I would ask that any motorists who were on the road at the time and witnessed what happened to contact police immediately.”
