Frear enthused by Scottish football buzz
Elliott Frear has been invigorated by his introduction to Scottish football.
The 26-year-old winger, eager to return against Hearts today after a groin injury, signed for Motherwell from Forest Green Rovers in January, having started his career at Exeter and had spells at Tiverton Town and Salisbury City. Now he would heartily recommend football north of the border.
“It was a step into the unknown,” said the Englishman. “I didn’t know any players up here apart from the lads who had been in the Conference. The first game against Rangers when we walked out, it was goosebumps kind of stuff.
“I had never experienced anything like that before. I have watched games at Wembley, the FA Cup final, but that was nothing.
“The atmosphere was unbelievable. I was still buzzing the Wednesday after the game. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to come up here.”
