Bronze finish for Macinnes
Scots teenager Keanna Macinnes has won a bronze medal at the FINA World Junior Championships in the USA.
On Thursday 16-year-old Macinnes eased through the heats of the 200m butterfly in a Scottish junior record time of 2:10.87 in.
She qualified for the final in fourth place behind Japan’s Suzuka Hasegawa, her Great Britain teammate Emily Large and Mabel Zavaros of Canada.
Macinnes then broke that time in the final, posting 2:09.64 for a bronze medal.
Large won the gold in 2:07.74, with Hasegawa second in 2:08.29.
