The winners of some of the festival’s most prestigious theatre prizes were announced at the Scotsman Fringe Awards yesterday.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the whole team at the Pleasance for doing such a brilliant job of hosting the awards, and to all our performers:

Camille O’sullivan (whose show Where Are We Now finishes its run at Underbelly’s Circus Hub tonight)

Wereldband (whose show Slapstick continues at Assembly George Square Theatre until tomorrow)

The cast of A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad) (at the Pleasance Courtyard until Monday)

Apphia Campbell (whose show Woke continues until Monday at the Gilded Balloon Teviot)

We also want to say a big thank you to our surprise special guest, Aidan Gillen, who presented Scotsman theatre critic Joyce Mcmillan with a bouquet of flowers to mark her 40th year at the Fringe, and to Joyce herself for presenting the show as eloquently as ever.

Finally, a big thank you to the wholeteamatthescotsmanwho make our festival activity possible – our critics, Fringe First judges, writers, and production and marketing team.

Today is our final Festival magazine of 2017. We hope you manage to catch some of the excellent shows listed on this page during the Fringe’s final weekend, and we will see you again next year.
