Racially abused man pushed on to train tracks

A group of people pushed a man on to train tracks, prompting a police investigation.

The woman and two men also allegedly racially abused them an in the incident at Anni es land station in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon.

After getting back on to the platform, the man was allegedly assaulted and racially abused by a separate man.

A man has been arrested in connection with the second assault.

British Transport Police appealed for information.

DS Dougie her said: “Remarkably the victim is relatively uninjured as a result of being pushed on the tracks and the following assault on the platform. However, this could have easily been a lot more serious.”
