Body found in hunt for missing pensioner

A body has been found by police searching for a missing pensioner.

Jimmy Mcghie, 69, from Shotts, North Lanarkshire, was last seen on 21 August in Motherwell.

Officers had teamed up with Mr Mcghie’s family and friends to launch a search around the village of Law.

The police underwater unit recovered a body from Garrion Burn, between Law and Waterloo in Wishaw, on Monday.
